Authorised by Army Order 361 of 1921, this clasp was awarded for service between 18December 1919 and 8April 1920 to all those who served under Major General A Skeen CMG, Indian Army, west of and including Jandola.
Army Order 347 of 1922 subsequently granted this clasp to all those who served under the GOC Waziristan Force on the Takki Zam Line north of and including Jandola.
As the Mahsud territory is enclosed by North and South Waziristan this clasp is usually found with that for Waziristan 1919-21
